LOOK OUT YOUR WINDOW!

The message is so simple!  Do you see the vast canopy of plants, everything green, plants sometimes desperately reaching for the sun!  Facing the sun, they receive energy that they turn into food through a process called photosynthesis.  Without the sun, all plant life would die (and so would we).

Hear what the Mallow is saying!
The mallow is an herb that follows the sun all day long.  At night it turns east to face the sun again when it rises in the morning. Time/Life.
What is your source of life?  God is telling you to turn your face toward His S-O-N who was meant to be your source of life!  Psalm 105:4 says it so well.  Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world.  He who follows Me (like the mallow) shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.” John 8:12 NKJV.

It reminds me of the song that admonishes us to, ‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.’

The importance of ‘having the light of life’ is further illustrated by the fact that light disperses darkness.  If you are in the darkness and do not have the light of God, and God, who is light comes into the room, His light will annihilate you!
Just turn a light on in a dark room and see what happens.
‘But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light!’ I Peter 2:9 NKJV.
Thank God that with Jesus, we are ‘called out of darkness and into His marvelous light’!

The plants also receive nourishment from the soil.  Take a lesson from a winter rye, a four- month old plant that was found to have 387 miles of roots in search of water. (Time/Life).
How deep are your roots in search of the water of life?  Jesus said, “Whoever drinks of the water I shall give him, will never thirst!” John 4:14.
How desperate are we for the light of life and the nourishment of the word of God? Remember, it is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ Matthew 4:4.

Receive this metaphor! Turn your face toward His ‘marvelous light’.  Sink your roots deep into the word of God and drink of His water and ‘never thirst’ again!!!
