ADAM ATOM.

I AM UNDONE!!!!!  I am overwhelmed by the God I serve!  Do you realize that your body was made with 7 billion billion billion atoms!
That’s, 7,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000!
7 with 27 zeros!  AND, your body replaces about 98% of them every year! ThoughtCo.

No wonder King David wrote, ‘You (God) created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful; I know that full well.  Psalm 139:13-14.

If he only knew 3000 years ago what we know now!  And we’ve probably only begun to understand the complexity of the human body.  God knit us together in our mother’s womb with atoms from the ‘dust of the ground’!

Atoms are the building blocks of the universe.  (See illustration above.)  ‘Stylised atom with three Bohr model orbits and stylized nucleus.svg’ by Indolences.  Recoloring and ironing out some glitches done by Rainer Klute is licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0.  The word atom comes from the Greek word meaning, ‘undivided’.  (Unfortunately, though the definition remains, scientists have found a way to ‘split the atom’ which makes it possible to release the immensely destructive power of atomic weapons).  These atoms combine to form the elements found on the periodic table like oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, gold, etc.

And these atoms are found in the ‘dust of the ground’ that God used to create mankind, YOU!!!

‘Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.’  Genesis 2:7.

Do you realize that everything else in the universe was spoken into existence?  ‘And God said, let there be’ light, the sun, the moon, animals, vegetation, the entire universe.  We alone were formed from the dust and given the breath of life!!!  All 59 elements found in the human body are found in the surface of the ground, offering scientific proof that man’s body did indeed come from the dust of the ground.  Reasonandscience.com.

The ‘breath of life’, the very breath of God breathed into the dust made man ‘an animated, breathing, conscious, and living being,’ in the very ‘image and likeness’ of God Himself!! Genesis 1:27.

The New Testament makes it clear that it was Jesus Christ who created ‘all things’ including man.  ‘The Son (Jesus) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.  Colossians 1:15-17.

Notice the last part of this scripture, ‘IN HIM ALL THINGS HOLD TOGETHER.’

An atom is ‘HELD TOGETHER’ by what physicists call ‘strong and weak nuclear forces.’
In other words, ‘there is an active force imposed on the universe, which holds the very atoms of the material world together moment by moment, day by day, century by century.  Jesus was not only responsible for creating all things, He is also the reason all things continue to exist.  He is both creator and sustainer of our world.
Dr. Ken Baker, from his blog post, ‘In Him All Things Hold Together’.

NOW, 2 Peter 3:10 makes sense!

‘But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up!!!!!!!’  There will come a time in the future when God lets go of the ‘nuclear forces’ which hold the atom together.  If He were to merely relax His grasp on the universe, every atom would come apart “by fire” (that is, by nuclear fire).

God is the present Sustainer of the universe.  As Dr. Baker says, ‘He is not uninvolved, remote, detached and impersonal-leaving things to run by themselves.’  But, as 2 Peter says, one day, ‘the day of the Lord’, He will let go of His sustaining power and all that He is ‘holding together’ will come apart!  THE ATOM WILL SPLIT APART!!!  Talk about a ‘big bang theory’!   It will be one gigantic atom bomb and the ‘fervent heat’ of it will melt the very elements and the earth will be no more!

THANK GOD ‘according to His promise, we are able to look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.’  2 Peter 3:13. NKJV.
