THE EXCHANGE!

Did you know that plants make their own food?  All they need is water through the roots, carbon dioxide from the air, and light energy from the sun to perform photosynthesis and make glucose, a form of sugar that plants need to survive. The bi-product of this process is oxygen, which we need to survive.  So, we give them carbon dioxide, a waste product from our bodies and they in turn give us oxygen which we need to survive!  What a great and life-giving exchange!!

There is another exchange that is far more extraordinary and has eternal consequences!

God loved us so much, that He sent His son to take our worst waste product, sin, and in exchange we receive ETERNAL LIFE!  This exchange is way beyond what we could think of or imagine and is remarkably, as He intended, quite one-sided! All He asks for in return is our love!

‘This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.’ 1 John 4:9-10.

Read what we receive in this extraordinary exchange!       AND THIS IS JUST A SHORT LIST!

Eternal life.  John 3:16.

Forgiveness of sins! 1 John 2:12.

Called out of darkness! 1 Peter 2:9.

We are rescued from the dominion of darkness.  (Satan’s dominion).  Colossians 1:13-14.

He gives us back our dominion and authority!  Luke 10:19.

He sends us His Holy Spirit! John 14:16.

We are over-comers! 1 John 4:4.

More than conquerors! Romans 8:37.

Made perfect forever! Hebrews 10:14.

All things God will now work for our good! Romans 8:28.

We will never again be separated from God! Romans 8:38.

He will never leave us or forsake us! Hebrews 13:5.

The power of death for us is broken! Hebrews 2:14.

No weapon formed against us will prosper! Isaiah 54:17.

We have a mansion waiting for each of us in Heaven! John 14:2.

We are an heir of God through Christ! Galatians 4:7.

We are blessed with all spiritual blessings! Ephesians 1:3.

Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

‘May you be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that you may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that you may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.’ Colossians 2:1-3

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS REMARKABLE EXCHANGE!

As the scripture says, ‘I beg you on Christ’s behalf; be reconciled to God.’ 2 Corinthians 5:20.

  1. It is humbling, the beautiful provision from God in exchange for my selfish life given to and submitted to Him! Oh hallelujah!
