THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY!

Life is just not what it seems.  Do you realize that at this very moment, your body is teeming with BACTERIA!  Its ALIVE!  And its everywhere!  Scientists say that an average human body, (they call the reference man), 20-30 years old, weighing 154 pounds and 5’7 inches tall, has 30 trillion human cells and 39 trillion bacterial cells.  We are outnumbered. Bec Crew, Science Alert.                                                                    

Not only that, but THERE IS A WAR GOING ON and all for our benefit.  (THE GOOD) bacteria with names like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterial, (see pic above) protect us against their dangerous, infection causing relatives (THE BAD) by crowding them out in the gut, producing acids that inhibit their growth, and stimulating our immune system to fight them off. They also help our bodies digest food and absorb nutrients.  In exchange, we provide them with shelter and nourishment.  Not to worry, this is the way God designed the human body!  Astonishing!

This bacterial warfare is an allegory of the spiritual warfare that is happening all around and in you.  Whether or not you believe in bacterial warfare or not, it is a scientific fact.

Whether or not you believe in spiritual warfare or not, it is a biblical fact.  Both are for your benefit!  One to keep you physically healthy and the other to keep you spiritually healthy and ultimately deliver you to heaven where the War is Over…

You can help!  Yes, your immune system with the help of bacteria fight the war for your health without you, but eating the right foods, washing your body and hands will help them continue to win the war.  High stress, a diet high in sugar, processed foods or alcohol can reduce the levels of good bacteria and create an imbalance, where bad bacteria can take over and cause obesity, diabetes or heart disease.  (THE UGLY) If you don’t do your part, you will suffer.   

So it is with spiritual warfare!  Jesus has already won the war for you!  But there are things you need to do or you will also suffer spiritually from living a life apart from the God who made you.  It is so simple!  CHOOSE LIFE!  3000 years ago, God spoke to the Israelites through Moses saying, ‘This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you, life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.’  Deuteronomy 30:15.

To choose life today, is to choose Jesus who is, ‘The way, and the truth and the life’. 
John 14:26. 

He came ‘that we may have life and have it to the full.’ John 10:10.  This He says in contrast to the thief (the devil) who has come ‘only to steal and kill and destroy.’  Seen or heard of any stealing, killing or destroying lately?  It’s 2023.  It is just about all you hear about.  Do you need protection, or would you rather go it alone?  

‘The Lord watches over all who love Him…’ Psalm 145:20.

Which life would you rather have? Jesus abundant life and blessing or the devils’ death and cursing.  Choose Jesus and you will stand with the one who has already won the war!  You will then have the authority to use His name, have at your disposal some 8000 bible promises that will now belong to you!  Will you have to fight? Yes, but your enemy has already been defeated.  And in the end, He, Jesus, who has also defeated death, will bring you home.  

CHOOSE LIFE!
