CRAZY CAPYBARA!

How refreshing to discover the Capybara!  (See photo above).  The Capybara is the largest rodent on earth, weighing up to 200 pounds, four foot long and 2 feet tall.  They are related to the Guinea Pig and believe it or not, they are just as cuddly!  People and other animals love them!
They are the perfect example of an animal that has somehow escaped the perversion of the one who ‘came to steal, kill and destroy.’

An animal that you would have found in the Garden of Eden and certainly in the ‘new earth’ that God has promised to create!  ‘Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.’
Revelations 1:1.
The ‘new earth’ will be created without the influence and perversion of the devil because he will already be destroyed. The following is a description of the ‘new earth’:

‘The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.’  Isaiah 11:6-9.

‘The wolf will live with the lamb.’  Look at the video below, ‘World’s Chillest Animal, the Capybara.’  They are an inspiration to us all!  Every animal seems to want to be around them!  Birds, monkeys and even other Capybara ride on their backs, so much so that they have been nicknamed ‘moving chairs’ or ‘nature’s ottoman.’  You’ll often see them hanging around with other animals, rabbits and even turtles!

People love them as pets, they are harmless to humans!

‘The lion will eat straw like the ox’.  Unlike so many other animals in this world, the Capybara is an herbivore.  They don’t need to kill to survive!  Just like in the new earth where, nothing will ‘harm not destroy!’

Wouldn’t you want to be like one?  Someone who everyone wants to be around, someone whose back is available to ride on.  Someone people can ‘hang’ with!

The Bible admonishes us to be like this ‘rodent’ in many ways.

It admonishes us to Love our neighbor and one another:  ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this:  ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.’  Mark 12:30-31.

We are admonished to carry each other’s burdens and value others above ourselves:
‘Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.’  Galatians 6:2.
‘Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit.  Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.’  Philippians 2:3-4.

‘There should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.’  ! Corinthians 12:25.

To ‘Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.’  Ephesians 4:32.

It admonishes us to do good to all people, to encourage one another and build each other up:
‘Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.’  Galatians 6:9-10.
‘Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.’
1 Thessalonians 5:11.

We are to:  ‘clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.‘

‘Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.’  Colossians 3:12-15.

We are admonished to: ‘Bear the fruit of the Spirit: ‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.’  Galatians 5:22-23.

And then: ‘Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.’  1 John 4:17. NKJV.

Be inspired by the loving (unlikely) Capybara and the scriptures to:

BE ALL YOU CAN BE!
