KING OF THE JUNGLE!

The male lion is ‘The King of the Jungle’.  He can be up to 10.8 feet long and 4 feet high and weigh up to 530 pounds!!!  He is at the top of the food chain, an apex predator!

Is it any wonder that Jesus Christ is referred to as ‘The Lion of Judah! Jesus is the King of this ‘jungle’ we live in. Did you know that we are encouraged to be just like Him! 

‘For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.’ Romans 8:29.

We are encouraged in Ephesians 4:24 ‘to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.’  

And again in 1 John 4:17. ‘This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.’  1 John 4:17. 

If we are like Him, then why do we act like the ‘cowardly lion’ in the Wizard of Oz?   Do you also need courage?  Be encouraged!  The cowardly lion got his courage and so can you!!!!

Listen to this, ‘Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.’ 1 Peter 5:8. Remember, the devil is LIKE a roaring lion.  He roars and stomps about, but he is no lion! If you are a believer, you have power over him, as the scripture says, ‘Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.’ James 4:7. Take great courage from this.  He has no power over you! 

‘You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.’ 1 John 4:4.  You are an ‘over comer’! 

No weapon forged against you will prevail. Isaiah 54:17. YEA!
