SECRET!

Can you believe that the photo above holds the secret of life???
People often ask, ‘What am I doing here?  What is the meaning of life?’
This is THE question.
‘Swan and Babies’ shows you a simple metaphor!  A baby swan is born with brown or dark gray feathers.  As it matures, these feathers turn pure white.
‘Ask the animals, and they will teach you or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you,’ Job says.  What is the ‘Book of Nature’ telling us? It is telling us that we all need white feathers, a metaphor for the forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God!  You have one lifetime to get it right, and that is all.  One lifetime to be reconciled to God.  Reconciliation is what life is all about!

The apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to the church at Corinth, ‘We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.’  2 Corinthians 5:20. The word implore is a powerful word.  It means to ‘beg someone earnestly or desperately to do something!!!  Why was the Apostle Paul and those with him so desperately interested in people to be reconciled to God?  Because it is a matter of life and death!

Everyone is born separated from God, thanks to Adam and Eve who disobeyed God and brought sin, death and separation from God into this world.  The Bible from cover to cover is a record of God’s plan to reconcile man to Himself, beginning with Him making ‘coats of skins’ as a covering for Adam and Eve.  How did He get the skins?  By the shedding of blood!  This is a foreshadow of Him giving His own Son to shed His blood on the cross to reconcile us to God!

‘For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.  Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.’  John 3:16-18.

God Himself said through His prophet Moses, ‘I have set before you, life and death, blessings and curses.  Now choose life, so that you and your children may live!  Deuteronomy 30:19.

To choose life today is to choose Jesus who is the way, the truth and the life!  He said, ‘No one comes to the Father except through me.’  John 14:6.

The baby swans are a physical example of what God wants to do for us spiritually!  Hopefully, as we mature, we move from gray, the darkness we are born into, to the ‘wonderful’ white light of Christ who is the light of the world.  As 1 Peter 1:9 says it:  we become a ‘chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that we may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light!’

COVERED IN HIS PURE WHITE FEATHERS AS BEAUTIFUL AS A SWAN!
