THE ULTIMATE CAMO!!!

Camouflage offers the world of insects, animals and fish fascinating protection from the dangers of the natural world.  Check out the Leaf Moth photo by Andreas Kay on the right!  God is good!  He is telling you that you also need protection!  Not so much from the natural world, but from the dangers of the spiritual world and ultimately from God the Father Himself!

We read in the book of Genesis, that God created man, and placed him in the garden of Eden.  He then proceeded to warn him saying, “you may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden, except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”  Genesis 2:16-17 NLT.

As we read on, we see that Adam didn’t die physically, but spiritually.  His disobedience (sin) separated him from God!  And from that day forward, every person born into this world is born separated from God (and I hate to say this) spiritually dead.
‘But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear’. NKJV

If a person dies in this condition, he or she will go into eternity separated from God.

Not a condition you want to be in upon your death!!

But God is good and he had a plan.  He sent His Son Jesus into the world so that in Him, we might be made spiritually alive once again!  The prophesies of Jesus coming tell us that He will be called Emanuel, which means God with us.  God was coming to join us here on earth!  John 3:17. God then told His mother Mary to call Him Jesus, because the name Jesus means ‘He will save us from our sins”.  Sin is the issue….it has to be dealt with.  It is sin that separates a person from God.  ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him!!’  John 3:16-17.

Romans 5:17 says it so well; ‘For if by one man’s offense (Adam) death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ’.

When you accept Christ, God no longer sees your sin, but sees the righteousness of God.

The righteousness of God is the ‘ultimate camouflage’!!!

In these posts, I’ve tried to focus on the incredible love of God, but remember, God is also a righteous judge and a ‘day of God’s wrath’ is coming when He ‘will repay each person according to what they have done.’   Romans 2:5-6.

On that day ‘when the Son of Man (Jesus) comes again in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne.  All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left.’  Matthew 25:31-33.  The ‘sheep’ are His own, those covered with ‘the ultimate camo’, the righteousness of God.  As the scripture says, ‘Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.  Psalm 32:1.

The goats are those whose sins are not covered and stick out like a sore thumb!!!!!!

The scriptures continue ‘then the King will say to those on His right, (the sheep) come you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.  Then He will say to those on His left, (the goats) depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Matthew 25:34, 41.

WOW.  You don’t want to go there!

When God looks at you, does He see you (the old goat) or the righteousness of God,
(a sheep)?

Have you received the ‘ultimate camo’?  If you haven’t, pray this prayer with me, your sins will be covered, you will become one of God’s own sheep and you too will be ‘blessed by my Father’!!!!!!!

Lord Jesus, I need You.
Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins.
I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord.
Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.
Take control of the throne of my life.
Make me the kind of person You want me to be.

  1. I’ve read many stories about people that have died and come back to life and they all say similar things. They mention the warmth, the love, and how God focused on only the good they had done because the sin had been camouflaged.
