WOMBAT!!!

What animal excretes cubed poop, defends itself with its butt, has a rear facing pouch, never has to go to the dentist and can run as fast as you can?   You guessed it!  The Wombat!!
The wombat is native to Australia.  It weighs 60-80 pounds and lives in burrows.  It is an herbivore, eating mostly leaves and grass.  They say it cleverly excretes cubed poop because the poop defines its territory.  Think about it.  The cube will stay where you put it and not roll away!  Clever!  Find the cubes, find the Wombat!

It is a marsupial with a rear facing (towards the butt) pouch!  Because the pouch faces to the rear, it doesn’t fill with dirt when the wombat decides to dig a burrow!!!   Why doesn’t joey (its baby) fall out?
Whenever it feels threatened, it dives into its burrow and blocks the entrance with its butt!!! Its bootie is mostly cartilage and is therefore very resistant to bites or scratches!  Sorry, but having a large derriere is not an advantage to us humans! It never has to go to the dentist because its teeth continue to grow throughout its life. And they are fast!  They can run as fast as you can at 24 mph!

What I found most interesting was its God given defense mechanism, using its butt!  Isn’t that hilarious?  God has such a sense of humor!

The wombat has a unique, God given physical defense mechanism.  Yours is spiritual!  What is your defense mechanism?  RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!  (See my post entitled ‘The Ultimate Camo’).  I say ultimate, because at the end of our lives or when Jesus returns, He will look at us and know whether we are the ‘righteousness’ of God or not!  Whether we have accepted God’s provision, Jesus Christ and are ‘clothed in the righteousness’ of God according to the following scripture: ‘For our sake God made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.’  2 Corinthians 5:21. Our #1 defense is camo!  He doesn’t see us, only His righteousness!

When we are made righteous, our sins are forgiven, and we become His sheep!  To be a sheep is to have the ultimate protection.  Jesus said, ‘My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.  I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.’  John 10:27.

‘When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.  All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.  He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.  Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.’ Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’  Matthew 25:31-34,41.  You don’t want that!

The righteous receive the Holy Spirit.  ‘One called alongside to help’ John 14:26. He is another defense mechanism…He will speak to you and warn you of danger.  (If you are listening.)

And you have the ‘whole armor of God’ as listed in Ephesians 6!!!  Put it on!  It is another ‘defense mechanism’!!!
‘Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.’  Ephesians 6:10-18.

WITH ALL THIS, WHO NEEDS A BIG BUTT!
