THE TAILOR!

The Tailor Bird is a master craftsman!  Believe it or not, it sews leaves together with its beak! (See photo above).  This photo is a screen shot of a short YouTube video by the same title. I recommend that you watch it now just to quickly see how remarkable this little bird is! (See link below).  P.S.  He had a little help from AI…….
It’s the female bird that is the seamstress.  She chooses a broad leaf and wraps it around herself to see if it’s the right size.  No, she doesn’t use a tailor’s measuring tape!  She makes this nest only a few feet off the ground at the end of a branch to keep her future chicks safe from predators.  If it’s not big enough, she will grab 2 or3 more leaves and pull them together with her feet!  She then pierces the edge of the leaves with her sharp bill and uses her bill as a needle to sew plant fiber, cotton, lint or silk from insects; cobwebs, or caterpillar cocoons.  Sometimes this clever bird steals man-made materials like cotton thread, wool or carpet fibers.  She then pulls down 2 or 3 leaves to form a roof.  It is the male that provides the sewing material and the soft stuff for inside the nest, like feathers or fur.  One nest contains 150 to 200 stitches!

When the nest is ready, the female lays 2-5 eggs and incubates them for 12 days.  Guess who feeds her while she sits on her eggs.  The ever-faithful dad.  Once they hatch, both parents feed the young.  You can find these birds in Asia.

The Lord said, ‘Once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder’. Isaiah 29:14. The Tailorbird is indeed a ‘wonder’.  It is an inspiration from God that encourages us to remember, if He can equip a bird to be a seamstress, He can equip you to do whatever He calls you to do.  There is a phrase, ‘Where God guides, He provides’.  It has its origin in Isaiah 58:11.
‘The Lord will guide you always, He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.  You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail’!!!  What a blessing!

And He has promised to guide you!  ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you!’  Psalm 32:8.

‘Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it” Isaiah 30:21.

And again, He will meet all your needs!  ‘My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus’.  Philippians 4:19.

THANK GOD, HE WILL GUIDE AND PROVIDE!
