THE BUTTERFLY!

Have you ever seen anything more wonderous and beautiful than a butterfly?  It presents to us the most powerful metaphor about redemption from ‘the Book of Nature’ that I am aware of!!!  The butterfly begins its life as a caterpillar, a worm.  Imagine being a worm!  Moving slowly over a leaf, eating, eating, not moving very far, not seeing or hearing much.  Then through a process called metamorphosis, it submits itself to a pupa or hard- shell stage where it is transformed into a beautiful butterfly, perhaps it becomes a Monarch that can fly 2500 miles in a migration to another country!

The butterfly is showing you what redemption looks like!  The remarkable transforming power of God!  In John 15 the bible says that without Jesus we can ‘do nothing’…We are in the wormy stage, but with Jesus, God’s provision for us, we can do ‘All Things’!
Philippians 4:13.

We can FLY!

This is because ‘if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation!’ 2 Corinthians 5:17.                                                      He has been transformed!  Old wormy things have passed away and everything has become new’!  WOW!  I am a butterfly!

Think about this……

If I was able to ask the caterpillar if he wanted to become a beautiful butterfly simply by submitting itself to the transforming power of God, what would he say?
Would he say yes! Or no, I am happy as I am, I have food and a place to stay.
What would you say if I asked you?

Oh, what you and the butterfly would miss by saying no!

Think about this!  The caterpillar already has the DNA to become a butterfly!  For it to become one all it has to do is submit to the natural processes that are already in its DNA.  For you to become a ‘new creation’, you have to make a choice.  In the Bible, God begs you to make the right choice!!!

‘Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!’ Deuteronomy 30:19. NLT.  CHOOSE LIFE!

THE ABILITY TO BECOME A NEW CREATION IS ALREADY IN YOUR DNA!!!!!  GOD PUT IT IN YOU.

‘He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.’—John 1:11-12.  The ‘right to become’ transformed into an entirely new creation!’

Receive Jesus and be transformed!  BECOME A BUTTERFLY!

ONE DAY YOU’LL MIGRATE TO HEAVEN!
